CAFOD SECOND COLLECTION CAFOD invites us to fast, pray and give, so we can extend the hand of friendship to the world's poorest people. Fabiano's village in rural Uganda devastated by drought. Every day, children would trek miles for water, risking their education and safety. Donations from parishioners across England and Wales helped install a powered pump in the village. ST TERESA'S - 60th ANNIVERSARY MASS
St Teresa’s celebrates it’s 60th anniversary this year. All the parish are invited to celebrate mass with us at 5.30pm on Sunday 6th October. WALKING WITH JESUS NEW SEASON, NEW FORMAT

CANONISATION OF BLESSED JOHN HENRY NEWMAN 13TH OCTOBER: Special Mass of Thanksgiving for the new Saint on Thursday 31st October, Solemnity of All Saints, at 7.30pm, celebrated by Monsignor Keith Newton, of the Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham, at Saint Peter’s, Portland Road, Hove. After Mass there will be a reception, at which Monsignor Newton will speak, as will the parish delegate at the canonisation.

CATHOLIC CERTIFICATE IN RELIGIOUS STUDIES In support of Bishop Richards’s Pastoral Plan, the diocese is planning to launch a Catholic Certificate in Religious Studies (CCRS) course, starting September 2019. The CCRS has been around since 1919 and aims to prove an introduction to Catholic theology and give an understanding of the central truths of our Faith. It will be open to teachers, catechists, people involved in pastoral and liturgical work and other interested adults. ST JOHN'S SEMINARY NEEDS YOUR HELP St John's Seminary has been involved in the formation of priests for England and Wales for over 125 years. It is now in need of help to refurbish and redecorate 30 of its bedrooms which have had little or no upgrading in over 40 years. The Seminary operates on a very tight budget and has no available funds to finance this much needed work which will cost about £2000 per room.
